Andy at Handnail gave us a quote that was below everyone else we got estimates from. We signed with Andy and his team was at our place 2 days later. We have a single story, 2500SF building and they were able to finish in one day. The roof looks great (we went with all black) and they definitely delivered on their promises. The team cleaned up and they were gone! Great experience all around and I have no issues recommending these guys

I contacted Andy to come give me a second opinion after someone tried to scam me into filing insurance claim for hail damage for a 4 year old roof. Andy was very honest and explained everything to me. Walked around my home and explained things that I’ve never paid attention to and discovered new things about my house. Handnail roofing did an awesome job with my roof repairs . I contacted them and requested to speak with jay as he was recommended from previous reviews and he did not disappoint. He communicated well , was on time and explained everything throughly. He took pictures of the before and after and showed me what is needed for the repair . Crew did the work and cleaned up well. I also spoke with Andy the owner and he seems knowledgeable and friendly .

I was very impressed with Jay’s communication and work ethic! Excellent communication from contractors goes a really long way for me, and I felt very comfortable talking to him. He explained exactly what his process was, what to expect, and next steps. As a first time home owner, this helped me a lot. He cleared off two years worth of debris from our roof, and I will definitely have them back for maintenance and repairs! The price was also very affordable compared to the last roofing company I worked with.

Jay and Andy with Handnail Roofing did a great job roofing our home in Montgomery recently. Jay provided a very competitive quote for a big job, and delivered on every aspect that he quoted. He was also there to supervise the work. They left the job site immaculate, leaving nothing but a new roof (I have yet to find a nail in the yard). Andy called me on the front end and offered to buy bundles of shingles at their cost to make sure that I was comfortable with my choice. I highly recommend them.

Had a really great experience with this team. From the beginning, they were super easy to work with, quick to respond and didn’t try to upsell me on stuff I didn’t need. Instead, Jay gave solid advice on what would actually work best for my home.
The roofing work was top-notch, and they added air vents that not only looked good but made a real difference. They also took the time to fix some air quality issues in my garage, which I wasn’t expecting but really appreciated. Jay was very professional and knowledgeable.

Have to give Chris and Handnail Roofing a five star rating. Had an on-site inspection the same day as my call, a quote within 24 hours and gutters were installed 3 days later. Gutter install looks great and have already been tested by two huge thunderstorms. They worked flawlessly. Chris was great to work with. A real straight shooter. No big sales hype, just informed me how and when it would be done . Done deal! I’m very picky who I have do work on my house, having worked 45 years in the construction trade. This company had the attributes I was looking for.

Andy and his team at Handnail Roofing did a fantastic job with our backyard patio expansion project. They customized the project to give us exactly what we were looking for, including working with other contractors to add a surround sound system and TV. The communication throughout the project was top notch, they showed up when they said they would, and progressed the project swiftly. Lastly, Andy is great to work with. He is very responsive, answered all of my questions, and he genuinely cares about giving the client exactly what they are looking for and completing the work on time. I can’t say enough good things about Handnail Roofing! They were working on a neighbor’s house when they noticed we had some items we needed to dispose of. If you need your roof repaired or replaced and your looking for a roofing company, I’d STRONGLY suggest that you give Andy Hughes of HandNail Roofing a call. I’m convinced that Andy is a man of integrity. Personally, I’ve become convinced that shingles that are nailed down vs installed with a “nail gun” will withstand higher winds without blowing off. Costal area codes actually require Hand Nailed roofs.

Andy addressed a leak in my roof, where the round metal roof met the sloped regular shingles. He was thoughtful and creative in the way he solved the problem and he worked patiently with me on the timing and payment. Andy goes above and beyond and I would recommend him and use him again if needed.

I recently reached out to roofers on Yelp and Andy with Handnail Roofing was one of the individuals that reached back out to me. We ultimately went with someone else due other matters, but I would definitely consider Handnail Roofing next time.
Andy provides a very thorough report. Basically better than everyone else. More importantly, he’s a gentleman.

Jay is a complete professional!!!! Our experience was very professional from start to finish. From the text messaging to the rescheduling of appointments and showing up on time. We had a small leak after Hurricane Beryl and it was fixed in one day. It has rained numerous times since then and we have not had any issues. I really appreciate the professionalism because it is rare to find these days. I will call again for future roof replacement.

Handnail Roofing came to our rescue after storms damaged our roof. We needed two significant leaks repaired and Jay properly repaired the roof, including incorrectly installed shingles, a stray nail, and damage from another company’s patch attempt. I live in Klein and major windstorms tore off parts of my shingles. Not being from this area, I was surprised at how many roofing companies there are to choose from and it can be daunting to pick one you trust. Andy is friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive! He quickly had one of his men reach out to do a free onsite inspection. They contacted my home insurance once I gave them the information and had my roof repairs done that week. They took their time and were thorough with the repairs. When I need a full roof replacement I know who I will call!
